Many times, if you ask somebody to choose a number between one and ten, they will select the lucky number 7. Yet why? Is there something about being bigger than five but not nearly ten that causes this? Does this mean that seven ate nine? Similar to the four-leaf clover, the number seven is seen as lucky for a variety of reasons, none of which have anything to do with food. Unbelievably, it is more mathematical than superstitious.
