The Self Discard deck is all about careful hand management. Getting discard effects to land on the right cards generate enormous value, but if they hit the wrong cards then it can be very punishing. We round out our pool 1 and 2 lists with cheap filler to get the card out of the way of guaranteeing a discard on Apocalypse. In pool 3 the deck takes on new life with so many additional cards that the deck can be filled entirely with discard synergies.
