Halloween is a time for spooky fun for adults and children as they dress up in costumes of all kinds. We have monsters, horror stories, getting candy as they trick or treat!
The poem is even more fun because it has sound effects of a wolf howling, the wind rushing through the trees, a screeching cat, and even more with the spoken word of the night of horror and fun!
A look at this night of fright and fun:
Halloween Means Goblins and Gremlins Galore!

Howling, biting, scratching at the door,
Shocking are scenes of blood, guts, and gore.
Headless horseman gallops quickly by.
Witches capture power of evil eye.
Children enjoy receiving treats for funny tricks.
Lone wolf howls at a full Harvest Moon.
Vampire opens coffin at midnight noon.
Werewolf changes into evil form.
Gremlins scatter pieces of candy corn.
Children watch the scariest of Halloween flicks.
Straw scarecrow performs a ghoulish dance.
Dracula’s bite puts victims in trance.
Skeletons rattle fleshy bones bare.
Screeching of black cat penetrates night air.
Children cover and hide faces from Goblins’ fright.
Tombstones rock to tune of Monsters Mash.
Bride of Frankenstein labels dance a smash.
Spiders spin cobwebs to capture bugs.
The Creature of Black Lagoon gives all a hug.
Children jump and shout loudly with such delight.
Scary faces decorate pumpkins.
Bubbling cauldron simmers green toads jumpin’.
Fresh apples bob up and down in pots.
Ooey, gooey food sickens little tots.
Lots of Little Devils run wild on Halloween Eve!
