WHAT HAPPENED to the Glory Days of MLB All-Star Games? ⚾️ #shorts

More than 36 million people tuned in to see the All-Star Game in the 1970s. However, the All-Star audience on Fox (FOX) - Get Fox Corporation Report dwindled to 8.7 million last year. Even though that's a larger audience than the 7.4 million who tuned in to watch the NFL's Pro Bowl on Disney- (DIS) - Get The Walt Disney Company Report owned ESPN earlier this year, the 7.8 million who watched the NBA's All-Star game on TNT in February aren't far behind. To say that any of the three All-Star games exceeded the 2.3 million fans who attended the NHL All-Star game in January is an understatement.

The All-Star Game was once a big deal, but before the Internet, cable, and satellite television took over, what was it like? In the late 1970s and early 1980s, we set the time machine back in order to find the most-watched All-Star Games in MLB history. Fortunately, there are still some aspects of the game that fans enjoy. Apparently, this is not good news. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the most recent game on this list.
