Heathrow Airport say passenger numbers have not recovered to pre-Covid levels.

Heathrow Airport chief executive John Holland-Kaye has told Sky News that passenger numbers have not recovered to pre-Covid levels.

The numbers won't return to 2019 levels for a number of years, the airport said in its financial results for the nine months ending 30 September.

A mechanism is also being put in place to avoid flight cancellations during the Christmas period at peak times.
