Complete Church Service, Sunday, September 11, 2022. As we continue on in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, we now receive a lesson from Him about love. The 1st century religious leaders in Israel had taught the people a mixed message on love when they declared, "Love your neighbors and hate your enemies." The second part of this sentence regarding hate is not found in the Bible. Jesus was rightly offended by this and corrected it by saying, "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." Why? Because in so doing you become a true reflection of God and His love. In this message Pastor Larry discusses Jesus' teaching and how we can live up to this challenge.
