Frozen Brake Caliper Tips
Some quick tips on diagnosing a frozen brake rotor and some important observations and advice about checking surrounding parts for heat damage after you discover a frozen brake rotor. The intense heat can do major collateral damage to neighboring parts, especially in the front suspension as evidenced in this video with a melted ball joint. Whenever a part of a car overheats, it’s a great idea to look around in the neighborhood for other parts that might have been affected by the heat. The safety of yourself or your customer depends on this kind of thoroughness. First comment gets a free Mechanic Secrets t-shirt. Just tell me your preferred shirt size in the comment, Anthony.
