Some quick tips on diagnosing a frozen brake rotor and some important observations and advice about checking surrounding parts for heat damage after you discover a frozen brake rotor. The intense heat can do major collateral damage to neighboring parts, especially in the front suspension as evidenced in this video with a melted ball joint. Whenever a part of a car overheats, it’s a great idea to look around in the neighborhood for other parts that might have been affected by the heat.
