Renegade Cigars 12th Anniversary Party Recap

Every year in October, Renegade Cigar holds its annual celebratory bash. This is a time for us to show our appreciation to our customers for their continued support. It’s also the time when we give back to the community by throwing the spotlight on a local charity that helps support folks who have fallen on hard times. Every year is special to us, but this year’s party was even more so.

This year, through the generosity of our customers, we were able to raise a total of $7,000 dollars in a matter of minutes for two worthy charities: the North Texas Food Bank and the Network of Community Ministries.

Not only were we able to support our local community, but we were also able to support an international cause, too. The William Ventura factory recently suffered a fire that resulted in a total loss. Not only were millions of dollars in inventory lost, but the factory employs hundreds of people whose livelihoods were instantly impacted.

As the producer of our last five Anniversary cigars—not to mention several store exclusives including our shop-favorite brand ADVentura cigars—the William Ventura factory is an organization that we work closely with. We were thrilled to be able to continue supporting them during this tough time. While master blender Henderson Ventura was not able to attend himself, he did send a personal message to Renegade’s customers promising to come back stronger than ever.

The Renegade anniversary party is also the first opportunity customers are given to pick up our most anticipated release of the year, our Anniversary cigar. As in the past, this year’s cigar was manufactured in the Corona Gorda size and produced by our friends at the William Ventura factory. This year’s blend utilized both Cameroon and Dominican tobaccos, with the release of just over a hundred boxes selling out in a lightning-fast thirty-two minutes. While the original Corona Gorda size is only available upon release, past years’ releases are available in a smaller format size that can be purchased the following year.

The Renegade anniversary bash gives us a chance to reflect on the past year and how fortunate we are to have a customer base that is both loyal and giving. We look forward to celebrating with the Renegade community next year, and to the release of our 13th anniversary cigar. Needless to say, the work has already begun, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
