This airline operates it's own airport! 🇮🇩

It’s not entirely unique, but the second international airport of Jakarta, Halim Perdanakusuma, will be operated by an airline once it reopens after a complete overhaul of airport facilities including the main terminal building and the entire runway.

After a Supreme Court ruling back in 2015, the original owner of the airport, which is the Indonesian military, was required to hand over the operations of the airport to Angkasa Transportindo Selaras. This is a company that belongs to the Lion Air group that owns airlines like Lion Air, Batik Air, Wings Air and Super Air Jet.

The international airport in the southeast of Indonesia’s capital will reopen under new management in September, after delays caused the reopening being pushed back from late June 2022.
