Sao Paulo!
You who did the will of God, expressed by the voices of angels, sword in hand, you went to fight for God both the Hebrews and the Gentiles, help me to understand in my heart, inspirations from God.
Bring back with your sword my enemies, who attack my faith and my homeland.
São Paulo, help me to overcome difficulties at home, at work, at study and in everyday life.
Neither pressures, threats, nor judgments force me to give up, if I'm right and honest.
São Paulo, enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, protect me.
Amen.

Psalms 82

God is in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.
How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the people of the wicked?
Do justice to the poor and the orphan; justify the afflicted and the needy.
Deliver the poor and the needy; take them out of the hands of the wicked.
They do not know, nor understand; they walk in darkness; all the foundations of the earth waver.
I said: Ye are gods, and all ye are sons of the Most High.
Yet you will die like men, and you will fall like any of the princes.
Arise, O God, judge the earth, for you possess all the nations.

Psalms 83

O God, be not silent; do not be silent, nor be still, O God,
For, behold, your enemies make a riot, and those who hate you have lifted up their heads.
They took cunning counsel against your people, and consulted against your hidden ones.
They said, Come, and let us uproot them, that they may not be a nation, neither shall there be any more remembrance of the name of Israel.
Because they consulted together and unanimously; they unite against you:
The tents of Edom, and of the Ishmaelites, of Moab, and of the Hagarites,
From Gebal, and from Ammon, and from Amalek, to Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Also Assyria joined with them; went to help the children of Lot.
Make them like the Midianites; like Sisera, like Jabin by the river Kishon;
Which perished at Endor; they became like dung for the earth.
Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb; and to all her princes, like Zebah and like Zalmunna,
Who said, Let us take for ourselves the houses of God as a possession.
My God, make them like a typhoon, like the edge before the wind.
Like the fire that burns a forest, and like the flame that burns the thickets,
So pursue them with your tempest, and astonish them with your whirlwind.
Let their faces be filled with shame, that they may seek your name, O Lord.
Perpetually be confused and haunted; be ashamed, and perish,
That they may know that you, to whom only the name of the Lord belongs, are the Most High over all the earth.
