The Prettiest English Countryside Neighbourhood Walk - BURFORD

Burford (/ˈbɜːrfərd/) is a town on the River Windrush, in the Cotswold hills, English Countryside. It is often referred to as the 'gateway' to the Cotswolds.

Burford began as an agricultural village, but was given a market charter in the early 12th century; this meant it now had the right to hold markets. Burford carries a legacy of the wool trade in its medieval fabric but has hardly changed since Georgian times.

Burford offers much more variety of styles and periods than most Cotswold towns. The most striking example of this being the number of half-timbered buildings to be seen.
