Expanded pokemon sets is a set review series meant to cover pokemon sets that are only part of the expanded format. Since I wasn't making pokemon tcg videos during the time when they were new I'll be looking at them as part of the expanded format today but I'll also talk about thier significance in the meta during the time they were fresh.

Dragons Exalted was one of the most significant pokemon sets, not only from a competitive aspect but from a historical too introducing tcg dragon type cards when before they usually fell in the colorless category. Rayquaza EX in fact became a top pokemon getting itself in World Championship decks and the cursed garbotoxin garbodor that we still deal with today calls this set home. It is a very nostalgic set for me personally featuring a number of cards I used extensively when I started playing on Pokemon TCG Online.
