Masashi Kishimoto's desire to elaborate on the conclusion of the manga series Naruto served as inspiration for Madara. When the series began its second half, known as simply "Part II" in the manga and Shippuden in the anime, Kishimoto felt the need to create a plot arc that would emphasize the misery of conflicts, leading to the final arc, which would involve a war. According to Kishimoto, Naruto and his buddies were weak as children in the first installment, and he wanted to make them stronger in the sequel. He made the Akatsuki (and later Madara) his enemies because of this. [2] Making the antagonists "flamboyant" was one of Kishimoto's "guiding principles," he claimed in an interview.
