Ori and the Will of the Wisps #08 - Restoring the Light

Our final destination, the Windswept Wastes that have been covered by sands, and the Grom who haven’t fled fell to corruption. It is the home of the final wisp, just beyond the Silent Woods, and the most dangerous, where Shriek’s main hunting grounds are. Avoiding her as we pass, we find the Wastes dangerous, a far cry from the magnificent home the Grom were known for according to Tokk.

Eventually coming to the temple where the final wisp was hidden, after Sier is restored, a dangerous creature seeks to end our journey, chasing us through the temple. We narrowly escape as the temple collapses upon our pursuer, and with the Sier at our side, Shriek’s attempt to face us does not go well for her, forcing her to flee from our presence for the first time and retreating to the Willow’s End which is our final destination.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a beautiful Metroidvania game developed by Moon Studios in 2020. It follows the story of the light spirit Ori as he searches Niwen for his close friend Ku and finds himself in an epic journey to bring peace back to a land facing corruption.
