Yellen Worried About a Run on Money Markets and Bond Funds

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen today said that she was "closely monitoring" financial markets as volatility rises. But more importantly she said she wanted to "develop policies to reduce the first-mover advantage that could lead to investor runs in money market funds and open-end bond funds." The possible implications of that effort should terrify investors!
