Black suitcases the cause of airport CHAOS!

A black suitcase being black, is that the cause really of all the luggage that is left behind at numerous airports around the world? Well, the head of Frankfurt airport in Germany has said that it’s due to the high number of plain black suitcases. They are so common that they are hard to identify right away.

While a black suitcase might very well be the most common color around, they can’t be blamed for the current mess that some airports are in. For example, Frankfurt airport has fired some 4.000 people during the pandemic, and has since only been able to attract 1.000 new ground staff. This shortage of workers causes all kinds of problems, among them, suitcases that aren’t traveling anywhere.

Travel tip for this video is to use a suitcase that is easy to identify by unique markers; this can be a different color than black, but a one-color suitcase isn’t that rare most likely. Decorate your suitcase with colorful stickers, a colored strap and of course proper name tags and contact information. Or do something I did; scribble visited airport codes on your suitcase!
