Are searching for your dream career? In this video I will be going over how you can create a resume for free and along the way I will be explaining the top 5 tips for writing a great resume.

1. There is no one right way to write a great resume, if you go type in google or in YouTube on how to write the best resume possible you will find like a million different ways to write a winning resume from so called resume experts and that’s because a resume is extremely personalized to the person who is actually writing it.

2. The 1st section on your resume should be your contact information. Obviously this section should have your name, phone number in case the company wants to contact you directly for an interview, and a professional email address.

3. The next section that should be in your resume is your education level depending on what education experience you have.

4. The next section of your resume should be your relevant work experience. One thing that you should be doing is tailoring your resume based on every position you are applying for.

5. Highlight your relevant work experience with achievements rather than duties and back that up with numbers because the more descriptive you can be about your actual roles the better, as it gives hiring agents the ability to see how exactly your skills will transfer into doing daily tasks.

6. Don’t list soft skills like hard worker and good communicator as hiring agents will not spend a ton of time looking at your resume and wasting their time will definitely get your resume thrown to the side.
