Faceless Man Says I Can't Film His Face

As I was heading to an audit I was being followed by someone who saw me carrying a camera. I wasn't recording at that time, I was carrying it with the lens pointed at the ground and this guy decided to walk up to me and tell me not to film him.
It made me think, If you see someone walking down the street with a knife, do you walk up to them and say "don't stab me?"
