Just a few miles from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, Grafham Water is England's third largest reservoir by area and eighth largest reservoir by volume.

Grafham Water reservoir has a circumference of about 10 miles and is 69ft deep it's maximum point.

Grafham Water was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest 1986

Before Grafham Water existed, the land, which is now submerged, was farmland. As you could imagion, the decision to flood the land caused some upset.
