On December 25, 2021 at 12:20 UTC, all progressive humanity is awaiting eclipse. Done, they held their breath for the next ten minutes, afraid to breathe in and out as the James Webb Space Telescope launched. It was a difficult long-term construction that allowed a whole new generation to grow.
But, fortunately, it turned out to be a "long-term successful construction". The launch was flawless, as was the telescope's journey to its final destination, the Lagrange point L2.
The telescope is named after the second director of NASA
James Webb, who led the agency from 1961 to 1968. With the height of a three-story building and the length of a tennis court, "James Webb" boasts not only its massive size but also its capacity. NASA claims that visually it misses Hubble by a hundred times! James Webb can see the first galaxies since the Big Bang 13.5 billion years ago
Now, after all the setups, calibrations and tests, it started giving the first scientific results. Thank you for watching the video and joining the channel. Have a nice day.
