In today's new Youtube video, I take you guys through my last few weeks of hitting some pretty big weightlifting and vertical jump PRs for this year! Before I do that, I talk about the concept of constantly raising the standards of those around you, especially in your inner circle. I also talk about how recently after hearing about Brandon and James making massive weight room PRs, initially I felt super proud but also a tiny hint of jealousy creeping in, because for a while I hadn't made massive progress, as it always seems I'm climbing back up the ladder only to fall back down as I go through my healing process, which takes a lot of energy out of me and comes with a lot of ups and downs. However, after talking to both Brandon and James, I realized how actually what I had done was inspire them through everything that I've been doing and by them seeing my progress in spite of not always feeling well, this inspired them to become passionate about weightlifting and want to chase after their own massive goals. My culture of raising standards had permeated into my inner circle and as a result we are all contributing to making the world a better stronger, more resilient place! So this filled me with a sense of pride and inspires me to want to keep raising the bar because when one of us gets better we all get better! There's a lot of wisdom and a lot of inspiration in this one!
