Pocket Monsters Ao for the Game Boy was released in 1996. It is also known as Pokémon Blue. Pocket Monsters Ao was released after Pocket Monsters Aka and Midori in 1996, the last game of the series being Pocket Monsters Pikachu released in 1998.
