Xi Jinping secures third term as leader of China

Xi Jinping has secured his place as China's most powerful and long-serving president since revolutionary leader Mao Zedong.
The ruling Communist Party has signed off on a third term for Xi - breaking an unofficial convention that limited leaders to two terms.
