Sun Joe AJ801E Dethatcher

Using the Sun Joe AJ801E Dethatcher to remove lawn debris from the yard. It has a 13 inch deck and 12 amp motor. If using a 100’ extension cord make sure it has 12 gauge wire. This little machine does a great job removing the grass debris from the soil surface. Removing dead grass debris is essential for good nutrient and water filtration. If water and nutrients can’t make it to the soil and root zone you are just wasting money. It is a bit of a process to do 2 passes plus use the lawn mower to suck up all of the debris. But it is better than the option of doing it all by hand. This is a DIY project that you can do with a very minimal investment into the AJ801E and a rake to pull up the lawn debris.
