What does Jesus tell the rich ruler?

What did Jesus tell the ruler to do to have salvation? Is it the same for us, non-Jews in this dispensation of grace? Jesus was NOT talking to Gentiles in the Gospels. The Gospels were written by Jews for Jews. Jesus was Jewish. Jesus tells the ruler he must obey. The Christian is saved by faith+grace+nothing not obedience.
