When it comes to truth, it is the Holy Spirit who guides us in our search. We can only trust the Holy Spirit to open Scripture to us to show us the things that are and the things to come. He is the only One who can do this. Jesus' life was the fulfillment of many Biblical prophecies, but prophecy is more than just historical proof of the Messiah. It is a daily revealing of Jesus to us by the Holy Spirit-whose function it is to glorify God and to reveal Jesus to us.
