Xi re-elected as General Secretary of Chinese Communist Party

Xi Jinping has been re-elected as head of the Chinese Communist Party for the next five years, beginning an historic third term as president. Xi praised the efforts of the country’s citizens in developing the nation – but warned that China should be vigilant looking ahead.
