Canon EOS RP RF35mm f1.8 Silent Unboxing

Hello, this is Taga-Tokyo, and I bought a new camera.

A Canon EOS RP full frame camera. I got the one with an RF35mm f1.8 IS STM kit lens. This is to replace my Olympus OM-D EM-5, which I bought 7 years ago in 2015. The Olympus has been good to me, but I guess after 7 years, it’s time for an upgrade.

My goal was to get more bokeh in my videos, so I’m switching to full frame. The Canon EOS RP is the cheapest full frame camera from any brand, and the RF35mm f1.8 lens is a good relatively cheap lens, that can get good bokeh. Canon is also arguably the top camera brand, so it’s not a bad thing to get into the Canon ecosystem, even if they’re still relatively new to full frame mirrorless cameras.

If I like it, maybe I’ll even end up upgrading to Canon’s even more expensive cameras, and lenses. I will use this camera for my next videos, hoping I get more creamy bokeh.

Thanks for joining me today, and join me again next time!
