Deputies rescue three trapped people when they overturned in a canal

Deputies Rescue Three Trapped in Overturned Vehicle inside a Canal.

While Deputy Dan Whittington was on his way to an unrelated call, he happen to look over and see a partially submerged vehicle upside down in a canal.

Deputy Whittington immediately took action and descended himself into the canal to rescue the occupants inside the vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, Deputy Patrick Newman arrived on the scene to assist with the rescue.

Indian River County Fire Rescue also assisted and ultimately transported the women safely to local hospitals.

The two women are recovering with thankfully only minor injuries.
