Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Goo Peashooter - October 2022

This Penny's quest focuses on the CORE plant Goo Peashooter and was offered between between October 19, 2022 and November 2, 2022

Goo Peashooter is a member of the Ail-Mint family.
Goo Peashooter costs 125 Sun. (100 Sun at level 6.)
Goo Peashooter does 30 damage. (+5 per level)
Goo Peashooter's projectile will poison zombies. This poison will stack - gets more potent.
Goo Peashooter's poison does 3 dps - and can stack up to 25 times. (4 dps at level 8 and +1 to the stack total per level.)
When given plant food Goo Peashooter will poison all zombies in a lane - dealing 75 dps. (+3 dps per level)

Commentary:
The damage itself is not all that impressive. There are other plants which do more damage for less Sun.

The reason one selects this plant is for the poison damage. Poison damage ignores armor. So Buckethead zombies can more easily be dispatched than trying to out-damage the zombie.

Bottom Line:
Goo Peashooter is a nice choice for levels with lots of armored zombies. However, Magnet-shroom may be better in some cases - Punk zombies for instance.

Goo Peashooter also suffers from the same problem all single target plants have - they can easily be over-run by zombies as they can only affect one (1) zombie at a time. The other plant offered this week - Puffball - is a nice choice for hoards of zombies.
