It sounds like a Big Brother reality experiment, but it’s played as a comedy-drama that boils with absurdity.

The White Lotus was the surprise hit of last summer. The show lit up the internet, garnered critical acclaim and picked up a whopping 20 Emmy nominations, including acting nods for eight cast members. The wild satire on privilege and entitlement featured an explosion of sex, drugs and general debauchery at a resort in Hawaii, where underpaid staff have to put up with the ridiculous demands of its entitled guests.
