Seattle shrouded by wildfire smoke as air quality plummets

Seattle was shrouded in a cloudy haze on Thursday, October 20, amid air quality concerns in the area due to smoke from nearby wildfires.

This footage was captured by Bob Mickschl and shows visibility reduced in the city on Thursday afternoon. According to Michkschl, the situation on Friday was much better. “A cold front moved in and pushed the smoke out, thankfully,” he told Storyful.

According to the National Weather Service, rain was expected to further improve air quality in the area on Friday.
