Broan Downdraft Kitchen Fan Problem

It was time to replace the downdraft fan that was installed when we had our kitchen remodeled about 15 years ago. This video describes what I went through to make that happen. I also describes a serious design flaw with the unit and a solution. Bottom line is we like the unit and it was a relative bargain compared to others on the market.
