A hanging coffin situated in Mountain Province in Northern Philippines. This tradition was being applied by Igorot tribe. Their tradition is to hang coffin in mountain cliff. This was pass on to their ancestor. There belief is the body move higher up and brings them closer to their ancestral spirit. Others feel safe to be hang rather than bury in the soil for they know that their body will be seep into the soil during rainy season.
