Genesis 11:1-9 (English Standard Version)

11 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.” 8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

There are many people encouraging people to vote. But sadly, their admonishments seems to focus on “Voter Registration”, and totally omit “Voter Education!” An "Ignorant/Uninformed" Vote is tantamount to an Inactive Vote” (maybe even worse)!

IF you vote, and have no idea of the role, responsibilities, record, and reach of the office and the person running for said office; THAT, is an Ignorant Vote!

IF you vote, but have no idea of the laws/ordinances of your county, town, city, state, or country, THAT, is an Ignorant Vote!

IF you vote, but have no idea of the current issues, affecting your city, state, or country THAT, is an Ignorant Vote!

Ignorant/Uninformed Voting falls under 3 Categories:
Infatuation: Voting for a candidate based solely/mostly because you think he/she is cute, suave, etc.;

Influenced: Voting for a candidate because your “heroes” told you to;

Intimidation: Voting for a candidate out of fear, or concern of what your “friends” or others will say/think about you! Your RIGHT to vote is just that; “YOUR RIGHT” TO VOTE, PERIOD!

An “Individual” has the right, and responsibility to vote how he/she chooses, sans coercion, ridicule, or threats from others (even from the same family, sex, or ethnic group)!

Your Right To Vote is just that “YOUR RIGHT" To Vote for that candidate of your choice!

It is NOBODY’S business who you vote for, nor are you under any obligation to share/divulge who you voted for! That is why when you cast your vote, it is not “open air” nor privy to the public, but said vote is cast in a booth/behind a curtain.

Yes, Voter Registration may be Important, BUT Voter Education is MORE Important!

I find it amazing that NO ONE in their right mind, would EVER purchase a house or a car (or bet a large sum of money on a race horse), without doing their homework, and thoroughly examining/inspecting it! But yet…
