Regarding the correct name of the carrier, Butovsky believes that the MiG-31I should be separated from the MiG-31K, but the difference between them is not very clear. Presumably, the MiG-31I is the vehicles of the second squadron of carriers of the Kinzhal missiles with slight differences from the first batch. According to another version, the MiG-31K was an open index until the presence of the MiG-31I was publicly recognized.

Regarding the rocket itself, Butovsky believes that the Kh-47M2 index is incorrect and calls it 9-S-7760.
