As Apple updates their iOS, Vision Forward's Tech Connect continues to bring you the information you need to make the most out of your devices. With their expertise in assistive technology, Luke and Cory demonstrate the features most relevant to users with low and no vison!

Siri continues to improve with increased customization options so you can better tailor this vocal assistant to your needs. Watch the video to find out how to slow things down by increasing Siri's wait time, so you never get cut off during your question again! If you’d prefer to speed things up, you'll be happy to hear that VoiceOver now supports Eloquence, as well as a number of other new voice options and over 20 newly supported languages.

iOS 16 makes the iPhone’s built-in magnifier much more than just a tool to make things bigger! Find out how you can setup the magnifier to work for you by saving your favorite settings like magnification level, brightness and color, then recall those settings with the press of a button. You’ll also hear about the new Detection Mode, which can be very helpful when trying to quickly identify doors, people and pictures.

These are just some of the features that the latest version of iOS includes to enhance the capabilities of Apple’s iPhone. Already updated? Follow along with your own device and try out some of these great accessibility tools! What is the most important change? Should everyone update? We know there are plenty of improvements, but have you noticed any downsides? Tell us what you think of iOS 16, and Apple more generally, down in the comments!
