The Los Angeles and Santa Monica area has a long and storied history of paranormal phenomenon and UFO sightings, but there is perhaps no greater mystery than the multitude of strange happenings that have occured on and around Catalina Island. Also named Avalon and once known as Wrigley Island when it was owned by The Wrigley Gum Family (yes, the double-mint and juicy fruit people). From UFO/USO sightings to a 1930s discovery of over 30,000 human and giant size bones ranging from 6-9 feet or more in length have been discovered. Evidence of cannibalism and human sacrifice were also confirmed during this archaeological dig. Why all the strangeness in Catalina? That’s a damn good question!
