"I was just napping.." #shorts

"Am I the drama? I don' think I'm the drama... Maybe I am."

Has one of your critters ever done this to you? We looked out the window this morning to find our herd sire, Benji, slumped over and not moving. We sprinted out the door, hollering and calling his name to see if he would stir before we could get into the pasture. We were certain he was gone.

It wasn’t until Megan grabbed his collar to see if he would stand that he sprang up, wondering what all the commotion was about. We’d fallen victim to the dreaded “death nap”, where a goat is sleeping so hard that they appear to be dead.

Goats are notorious for finding new and exciting ways to die. We’re already stressed enough about it, it would do us some good if they would stop pretending and take one extra worry off our plate.
