The cheetah is a paid actor. 😳 @cooperlost's up-close animal encounter was taken in the Serengeti, one of the oldest and most scientifically significant ecosystems on Earth. Its name is derived from the Maasai word siringit, meaning “endless plains". 🌾

The Serengeti is home to a magnificent diversity and abundance of animals, the East African cheetah being one of them. Cheetahs are the world's fastest land mammal and are able to go from zero to 60 miles per hour (97 kph) in just three seconds! 🔥
