Disruption of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Kremennaya: details

According to the Military Chronicle, the attack of the Armed Forces of Defense of the RF Armed Forces in Kremennaya, scheduled for early October, did not take place due to several incidents with Western self-propelled artillery.

Of the 14 PzH-2000 self-propelled guns delivered to Ukraine at the end of September, at least three were destroyed by Russian Lancet-3 drones and 152-mm artillery in the Shandrigolovo area.

Eight more were damaged in the battles for Liman and are being repaired in Lithuania. The condition of the remaining three howitzers in service is assessed as unsatisfactory.

According to sources of the Military Chronicle in the NVO zone, some howitzers were destroyed along with reserve crews, which in Germany were trained not for military operations, but for the repair of equipment.

In addition, all PzH-2000s were delivered to Ukraine without AN / PSN-11 satellite navigation and the ADLER III fire control system, which excludes their use according to NATO standards.

An attempt to replace the PzH-2000 with Polish AHS Krabs was unsuccessful. During the transfer of the ACS battery to Kremennaya, the vehicles started having problems with the suspension and turret traverse mechanisms, which made their use impossible.

To make up for the losses, instead of Western-made self-propelled artillery, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forced to transfer Soviet D-20 and D-30 towed howitzers to the Shandrigolovo area (50 km from Kremennaya).
