We go to the pre event car show at Lambert's in Sikeston, Mo and then begin the first day of the 2022 No Name Nationals. Between running around for photos, fixing the car for Tech inspection and drag racing the first day was a blast. This was an event like no other with the way the guys all got along, helped each other and had some laughs. People knew your name and you knew theirs. They were just as excited to talk to you as you were to talk to them. The cars you had been watching come together on screen were now in front of you and you could touch them. Instead of the event being about them, it was about everyone and everyone was the show.
I believe that lifelong friends were made over the course of 3 days that were known as the #nonamenationals
We spent the day talking to people, making parts runs, wrenching on last minute changes to our 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Formal Roof with a 351 Windsor and C6. We learned lessons for later down the road about wheel studs and fitment. That just by changing the type of acorn nut could take you from not passing to passing tech. The generosity of people you had only seen on youtube telling you that when the time came to pay it forward. A special thanks to John from @Daddy’s Money Garage Travis from @Travis' Mopar Garage Rick @RCindustry Tim @318willrun Jed @Scotts Speed Shop Dan@Red Beard Racing 710 Jeff @2HacksGarage Brad @Poor Boys Garage and Nelson Racing for the help getting past a self inflicted hurdle.
