The area s managed by the National Trust and comprises a house and adjoining gardens and courtyard. The walks include the "Lime tree Walk" . It is an avenue of pollarded lime trees. In spring the ground around the trees is covered with snowdrops , daffodils and bluebells. The walk passes The Argory oak plantation .There is also a riverside walk beside the river Blackwater. A little café is located in the courtyard.The Argory is a classical house of 1824, set in a landscape park. There are mature trees, pleasure grounds with yew arbours, and rose garden with sun dial .
