A female dog trained by the Border Security Force (BSF) welcomed union Home affairs minister Amit Shah in a function in border town Jaisalmer in Rajasthan today. Shah was given a basket with flowers. A dog also bowed down to Amit Shah for his blessings. Instead of Shah, BSF chief sitting next to Shah gave blessings to dog by putting his hand on dog's head, after which the dog left the stage. Shah was amused to have such a welcome.

BSF runs the Natioanl Training Centre for Dogs (NTCD) which is a premier Training Institution run by BSF on behalf of MHA. The NTCD breeds service dogs, trains dogs and their handlers for BSF, other Central Police Organisation and State Police Organisations. The dogs are trained in basic obedience, narcotics and explosive detection, tracking, guard duties and patrolling.
Even foreign countries have taken services of NTCD for dogs training.
