A piece of cake is something easy to do.

Origin: There was a tradition in the US slavery states where slaves participated in 'cake walks' where couples performed a dance mocking the mannerisms of their masters. The most graceful couple would receive a cake as a prize which came to be known among the slaves as something very easy to obtain.
