All treatments carried out on the wood are zero impact on the environment.completely handmade by our expert craftsman Daniele. Three different processes can be applied to this product: ° Lichtenberg Method: named after the German physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg. In 1777, Lichtenberg built a large electrophorus to generate high voltage static electricity through induction.

After discharging a high-voltage point on the surface of an insulator, he recorded the resulting radial patterns by spraying the surface with a mixture of powdered sulphur, red lead and lead tetroxide.

LichtHouseDesign adopted this technique by applying a mixture of natural salts instead of the chemicals that were used at the time. ° Shou Sugi Ban method: originated in Japan in the 18th century mainly as a method of treating wood coatings to make them weather resistant, the technique involves the carbonization of a wooden surface through the careful use of a blowtorch. Lichtenberg X Shou Sugi Ban method: the combination of the two methods listed above. There is the possibility to add a customization to the order with high precision laser engraving of any type (Initials, Phrases, Logos, Dates) at no additional cost.
