Fleeing civilians in Russian-held Kherson line up to board boats

Images broadcast by Russian media showed residents of the Russian-controlled Ukrainian city of Kherson on Wednesday as they boarded boats to ferry them across the Dnipro river. Russian-backed authorities said they planned to evacuate around 50,000-60,000 people over the next six days amid escalating pressure from a Ukrainian counteroffensive.
