Watch how the daft and utterly out of touch school board at Paradise Unified School District actually votes on an agenda item BEFORE listening to a concerned parent speak during public comment ON THAT AGENDA ITEM. Utterly outrageous disregard for the concerns and rights of the public to be heard and considered in their decision making!!! If this video doesn’t demonstrate just how pious and unaccountable these people have become- we don’t know what could possibly make it clearer. Absolutely unbelievable. Do NOT reelect ANY of these people. They obviously DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN.

The woman who waited TWO HOURS before public comment was opened up was speaking about two different agendas- one was about vaccine mandates on students and the other was regarding the indoctrination programs being forced upon students under the guise of behavioral therapy and other emotion/thought/ inner world surveillance programs they’re creating in our public schools.

I am very concerned with why this district is accepting money to continue to promote SEL that is shown to actually damage our children. When I emailed in my comment this weekend about this item, Mr. Taylor responded that it is being used for a program called RULER and PBIS (positive behavioral interventions and supports). This is SEL at its core. Yes, the program is wrapped in bunnies, sunshine and rainbows. But when you actually read what it is pushing, you soon learn it’s anything but that.
It is designed to actually divide students and make them question their sincerely held beliefs and subsequently their families’ beliefs. It is all about collecting data from the students (to which only the schools, government and 3rd party data mining companies have access too, not the parents) and then working on their presumed “biases”. So already you’re assuming and telling children they have biases and must be changed to fit this ideology. You’re making them question themselves and their peers. You’re making it hard for them to be an individual because if they disagree or don’t like a topic, peer pressure comes down on them. So they either stick out or conform. No wonder our kids have learning disabilities and social issues.
From the PBIS website they state that their Science section “honors identities” Their equity section states they again honor identities and “reflect equitable learning opportunities through meaningful participation of each student, family and educator in the SYSTEMS WE PROMOTE.” The systems of Marxism ideology is what they promote when you continue reading about their programs.
Their definition of equity is disgusting. Its CRT wrapped in a pretty new package. They plan on “using engaging instruction to reduce the opportunity gap with racial disparities in academic achievement.” It goes on to state that not mentioning race or ethnicity exacerbates inequities so you need to make policies to actually define race. You know, begin to segregate students and pit them against each other and their families. Why does race have to be brought into schools? Teaching children the fundamentals like language arts, math, true science and history, is all that needs to be taught in schools across the Nation.
Schools need to stop this indoctrination and get back to knowledge-based learning. In this state the majority of our kids can’t read or do appropriate math, or even discuss past historical moments in our country, but let’s continue the CRT and SEL. Never mind actually helping prepare them to be successful adults in the workplace.
My questions to the board since learning of this is why adding this program on top of what is already being implemented into the school’s indoctrination feels necessary? What is happening at the schools here that you feel is requiring to employ a Marxist ideology program to our communities’ children?
How much is this program actually costing?
And where is the 3rd party research that is NOT funded but a company that profits from this? It doesn’t exist but I’ll await any research you can share with myself and the community that you feel justifies this program being pushed on our kids.
As board members I’m told you’re able to create your own curriculum. It can be used in place of this to fit any mandate from the state that you feel this is covering. Why not give that a try instead and actually be for the children and this community and not against them. I’m sure there are many of us here that would love the opportunity to volunteer for this.
