LA Council, hit by racism scandal, elects new leader

The Los Angeles City Council elected Paul Krekorian as the new council president, as protesters demonstrated outside city hall in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday (Oct. 18) over racist remarks by council members in a leaked recording.
